Gunco expands fleet with four Hitachi boom lifts

Dutch access rental company Gunco has expanded its rental fleet with four new Hitachi self-propelled boom lifts.

The company has acquired HX99B-2 tracked self-propelled boom lifts, which offer a platform height of 32 feet. The boom lifts are telescopic models that feature an articulating jib and offer an outreach of 8.3m. The machines were delivered by Eurosupply Hoogwerksystemen, Hitachi's dealer in the Netherlands, as reported by Vertikal.

The machine is powered by a 9.2kW engine and weighs 5.4 tonnes. The HX99B-2 has a maximum capacity of 200kg. The maximum travelling speed of HX99B-2 is 1.8kmph.

In 2011, Gunco has placed an order for the same equipment for its Belgian depot. In addition to self-propelled boom lifts, the company's fleet consist of access and fork truck and telehandlers. The company was established in 1960s has five depots throughout the Netherlands, as well as, depots in Belgium, Luxemburg and Czech Republic.
