China State Construction wins $1.4 billion Cotai project in Macau

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited and China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited have secured a contract worth HKD10.5 billion ($1.35 billion) from MGM China Holdings Limited for the Cotai project in Macau.

The project will include construction of a development complex comprising hotel towers, casino gaming, entertainment venues, retail space and parking.

The Cotai project has a site area of approximately 71,833 square metres and a gross floor area of approximately 391,750 square metres. The construction work on the project is expected to commence in early 2014 and will be completed in April 2016.

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited and China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited are wholly-owned subsidiaries of China State Construction International Holdings Limited.
