Volvo plant demolished by the machines it created
Volvo Construction Equipments historic hardening plant has been demolished by some of the machines it helped to produce, 175 after production began at the site.In its heyday, the Swedish factory, which is located in the town of Eskilstuna, hardened 3,000 tonnes of steel per year.Operations, however, came to an end in 2006 when Volvo invested more than $150m in the extension and modernisation of its main factory campus on the outskirts of the town.

Arabtec to build 37 towers for Aabar Properties in Abu Dhabi and Dubai
Arabtec Construction has signed an agreement with Aabar Properties' subsidiary Aabar Investments for design and construct 37 towers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for a total contract value of AED22.440 billion ($4.1 billion).The contract, which is said to be one of the largest development in the region's real estate sector, also represents Arabtec's biggest project in terms of value.
Saphyr/HSI  Bossa Nova Mall Mixed-use Development, Rio de Janeiro
Saphyr in partnership with Hemisferio sul investimentos (HSI) is planning to undertake the construction of Bossa Nova Mall mixed-use facility on a 5,592m2 area in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.The project involves the construction of a shopping center, a hotel, a convention center and other facilities. The project is in the early stages of development. The new mall is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2015.
